Her name was Kathryn Beaumont, a young actress who was both the voice and the model for the character of Alice in Wonderland. She was just ten years old at the time. Walt Disney personally cast Kathryn himself after seeing her in a film, and thought she would make the perfect Alice. She would go on to provide the voice for Wendy in Peter Pan as well.
