Alice Roi is a New Yorker, born and raised. In the fashion world, that fact alone seems to give designers instant street-cred, not that Alice needs it. She is dazzlingly talented. Her Spring 2014 collection feels like fresh air on the skin, with light airy pieces that beautifully walk the line between feminine and masculine. But as much as we love the clothes, we have a special sparkle in our eye for her accessories, which she created with jewellery designer and artist Lina Noel. It was an epic meeting of minds, moulding silver pieces into heavy and armour-like yet feminine pieces with a modern edge. Let’s take a moment to reflect on those silver shinguards.
